The lake is just 1 kilometer from Kailali Multiple Campus, making it easily accessible to students and visitors. It lies within Dewhariya Banaspati Udyan (देउहरिया बनस्पति उद्यान), or Dewhariya Botanical Garden, less than 5 kilometers from the core of Dhangadhi. The route to Jakhor Lake or Tal (जखौर ताल) is mostly blacktopped, with only a small portion gravelled, making it convenient for short trips.
